How to Pair Apple Watch To iPhone – The Only Way To Fix This Problem
Let’s go right to the problem. So your Apple Watch is not pairing with your iPhone, and you want to fix that. It may be a frustrating process but it’s not that hard to fix the problem. There are several ways to get that Apple Watch paired to your iPhone eventually, and that’s what we will discuss in this article.
So let’s dive right in.
The Steps To Pair your Apple Watch to your iPhone
First of all, let me walk you through the steps you need to go through every time you pair an Apple Watch to your iPhone.
The very first thing you need to do is to turn your Apple watch display on. Gently press the button on the right side of your Apple Watch and keep pressing until you see the Apple logo. Keep the iPhone next to your watch while doing so.
Then, make sure both the WiFi and Bluetooth are turned on on both devices. It’s essential here to pair both the Apple Watch and iPhone to the same WiFi network.
At this point, your iPhone should show a prompt displaying your Apple Watch.
You can also launch the Watch app that is already installed on your iPhone. If you can’t find this app, you can download it on the App Store.
Hit Continue on the prompt and start pairing the Apple Watch. Two options will be shown:
- Setting up the Apple Watch for yourself
- Or for a family member
Click on the first one.
Your Apple Watch will start to display an animation. Keep this animation underneath your iPhone’s camera and tap on Set Up Apple Watch.
Setup Your Wrist Preference
Then you can set up your wrist preference. This can be your right hand or left hand. Chose the wrist that’s most convenient for you.
Your iPhone Will Get Connected To Your Apple Watch
From here, your iPhone will get connected to your Apple Watch. It usually takes a couple of minutes to do so.
After a couple of seconds, you get the terms and agreements section. If preferable, read through this section and hit agree to continue.
After this part, you get some suggestions like enabling to track your route outside, sharing usage data with Apple, and some more settings like enabling bold text and creating a password for security purposes.
Walkthrough all these steps and hit continue.
Setup Activities on your iPhone
After creating a 4 or 6 digits password on your Apple Watch, go back to your iPhone and set up activities like workouts, active calories, exercise minutes, etc., for your Apple Watch. Note that you need to do this on your iPhone.
Setup How Many Times You Want to Be Reminded To Move More
After getting an overview of your Activity information and hitting continue, you can set your goal for how active you would like to be. You can choose from:
- lightly (which is around 330 calories a day)
- Moderately (which is around 620 calories a day)
- Or highly (which is around 910 calories a day)
Setup Your Daily Exercise Goal
After choosing the number of calories you want to burn per day, you can set up your daily Exercise Goal. Apple already recommends 30 minutes per day. But you can adjust this number as desired.
Your Apple Watch will also remind you a couple of times a day to get up and move for at least a minute in each hour of the day. You can adjust the number of times your Apple Watch reminds you to do so.
The Blood Oxygen App For The Apple Watch Series 6
If you have the Apple Watch Series 6, you have an extra option you can enable, the Blood Oxygen App. This app checks your blood oxygen levels throughout the day.
Be aware that your location will be used to make sure this feature is available in your region.
If you want to enable it, you simply have to hit the allow button.
Finally, some more settings will be shown, such as:
- the possibility to keep your Apple Watch up To Date,
- The Emergency SOS feature,
- a Carrier Cellular setup in case you have the cellular Apple Watch model,
- the Apple faces,
- and the ability to weather install all Watch apps or not
The Syncing progress Will Start
After finishing all these steps, both your Apple Watch and your iPhone will show syncing progress. In the meantime, you can learn how your new watch works, what the side button is meant for, and how you can use its crown.
Be aware that this final syncing progress will take some time to complete. It can take up to a half-hour in some cases. Be patient at this stage.
Your Apple ID Will Be Used For iMessage and Facetime
The very final message your iPhone will show is that your Apple ID and phone number are being used for iMessage and FaceTime on a new Apple Watch. Just tap on OK, and both your Apple Watch and iPhone will continue the progress.
