10 Reasons Why the iPhone X Is Still Worth Considering in 2022

The 2017 iPhone X isn’t the newest model in Apple’s popular smartphone line, but it’s still an excellent device that is packed with plenty of cutting-edge features. Here are 10 reasons why the iPhone X is still worth considering in 2022.
It’s been now five years ago that the iPhone X was announced at Apple’s keynote address for its new product line. It has a large, 5.8-inch Super Retina display which curves around the edges of the phone and was branded as the future. The phone features a 5.8-inch OLED screen which displays 2436 x 1125 pixels and 458 PPI at an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It also includes a slot for face recognition technology known as Face ID which was the first feature that replaced fingerprint scanning for unlocking the iPhone.

What I Like
The iPhone X is surprisingly easy to use, has a large and sharp display, and its rear-facing camera outperforms its predecessors, while the front-facing camera is stunning in portrait mode.
What I Don’t Like
The iPhone X was discontinued following the release of the iPhone XS, and those looking to purchase it should get a case and an insurance plan. More likely to have less power by the end of the day than the iPhone 8 Plus.

1 The Front Face Camera of The iPhone X Is Still Amazing
Let’s start with the front face camera of the iPhone X. Did you know that you can take pictures of yourself that are perfect just the way you want them to be. With its Front Face Camera, that has True Depth, you can take selfies in Portrait Mode – you know, those pictures that focus the foreground subject while blurring the background.
2 It Has Nearly All The Same Features As The Newer Models
The newer models may be shinier, but in terms of core specs and features, there’s little difference between them. The new models may be faster (and have better battery life), but that won’t make a difference if you don’t use this iPhone for anything other than calling, texting and emailing. And yes, you can even watch 4k videos on it if you have it fully charged.
3 The iPhone X Has Excellent Battery Life
If you think you’ll be using your phone a lot, especially if it’s an essential part of your work (as it is for many professionals), then you want a smartphone that can last through a busy day. Even if you aren’t a heavy user, those times when there are no outlets available and dead battery notifications pop up can be maddening. Knowing how long your phone will run on each charge is important—and 8 to 9 hours should get most people through their day. Which what the iPhone X is capable of.
3. 1 Battery Health
Make sure your battery health is at least at 90% if you’re planing on buying a second hand iPhone, though. If you’ve found a good-looking iPhone with a battery health of let’s say 80%, then you shouldn’t consider buying that iPhone. You will only get frustrated by the fact that it runs out of battery very quickly.
4 If You Buy Used iPhone X On eBay Or Craigslist, You Can Save Big Bucks
Buying a used Apple device on eBay or Craigslist can save you big bucks, but be careful—you could be getting scammed. Here’s how to stay safe and get your hands on an excellent deal.
4. 1 Is There Any Visible Damage on the iPhone?
If there’s any obvious damage on the iPhone, you shouldn’t buy it. For example, if the screen is cracked or the side of the phone is dented in, it probably won’t work right—or worse, it could be a safety hazard that needs to be fixed. Always look over your potential purchase carefully!
4. 2 Does the Mic of the iPhone work?
If you’re looking to buy an iPhone X second hand, make sure it works. If you’re buying from someone who is no longer using their iPhone, then look out for any cracks or physical damage that would suggest the mic doesn’t work. Even if the phone looks undamaged, you may want to check the device performs with certain apps – like FaceTime or Skype. Otherwise, the person might be trying to sell a nonfunctional iPhone at a bargain price. Reason why I suggest FaceTime, because this way you can immediately check whether the microphone of the iPhone works or not.
4.3 Have Any Parts of the iPhone Been Replaced?
If you buy your iPhone X second hand, then always make sure that its parts are not been replaced. Genuine components are typically of higher quality than cheaper third-party substitutes. But how to know if the components have been replaced. In this video I tell you all about it.
5 The iPhone X can shoot 4K videos
The 4K video recording is another key upgrade on top of stills. And the best part, It’s not limited to the latest iPhones. With the iPhone X you can even shoot 4K videos at 60fps. Also, it is great for shooting videos in low light or when fast action needs to be caught.
6 Its Price
Since it is two years old, you should be able to get an iPhone X at just over half of its initial retail price. This makes buying one much more affordable. Even if you have to pay full price for your phone, Apple will continue supporting their products for years after they are released.
In fact, there are still people who use iPhones that were released in 2012! If you buy an iPhone X now and keep using it until 2027, then Apple will still support your phone with software updates and security patches. You can feel confident that your phone will continue working as well as when you first bought it!
7 Apple’s Updates
Speaking about updates, Apple is notoriously good at updating their software, meaning that your phone will run as smoothly and quickly five years from now as it does today. They also update their phones to keep up with new operating systems, meaning your phone should be up-to-date when you purchase it. Plus, Apple keeps releasing new versions of its iOS—allowing you to keep your phone updated with all of Apple’s newest features and apps.
8 The iPhone X is Built Like a Tank, Literally
The iPhone X is one of Apple’s most expensive handsets, but that doesn’t mean it’s fragile. It’s as durable as any other modern smartphone, meaning you don’t have to baby it just because you spent top dollar. In fact, with an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance and military-grade aluminum sides and back, you can feel free to use your iPhone X however you like.
But I always recommend slapping a case around your iPhone, whatever model it is. That way you expend the longevity of your iPhone and the moment you’re about to sell it, you’ll still get a decent amount for it.
9 The iPhone X will fit your hands Perfectly
The iPhone X is one of Apple’s most futuristic smartphone designs to date, but it still fits comfortably into your hand. The curved glass screen complements your fingers and wraps around them, making swiping and typing more comfortable than ever before.
This means you can use your phone for longer without experiencing discomfort. And while some smartphones have larger screens than others, they don’t fit as well in our hands; often times, we end up holding them with two hands just so we can type or swipe without difficulty. But with an iPhone X in hand, you can easily reach all corners of its 5.8-inch display using only one hand—even if you have small hands!
